How does one band write so many good songs? I don’t know, is my answer. Hi, I’m Halbadal and I love the band called VACATION. Who am I? I’m the guy that has been stagediving since 1988, and back then there wasn’t enough punks to catch you so we hit the floor hard, and that’s how slamdancing started!!!

  It’s a good thing when you put on a record and before you get to the end of the first side you think to yourself, “Wait, Who the fuck are these guys?!” I thought that because I hadn’t heard VACATION before.  I mean, I’ve heard of VACATION but I never owned a record. It’s a little embarrassing to admit how long ago I heard about VACATION and how long it took me to actually sit down and listen to a freakin’ record.  Needless to say, after I got the new records I had to go back and get all the other shit, all good , by the way.  I wouldn’t say that some of the songs remind me of other songs, it’s more like …a feeling of another song that flows in one side of my heart and out a nipple.  And this band “pays it off” more than any other band I’ve heard in a long time.  What I mean by that is, let’s say a good part just happened in the song and in that moment you think, “Fuck, I really loved that part, I hope they repeat it right now but I also want to hear him scream it, build it up, make it bigger!”  Guess what happens? Yup, they were thinking the same bad-ass shit in the studio, man! I love a good payoff!!! These two records are full of catchy-ass hooks, epic chants, endearing and timeless moments.
